The Choate-Plaster Ultimate Target & Sniper Stock
The boldest new stock design of the decade -- solidly built, rugged, simple, extremely ergonomic, highly adjustable, a lifetime guarantee, and a great buy to boot!
"I am here to tell you that I am very excited with my [stock]. It is everything that you said it would be... A hearty well-done to your firm and Maj. Plaster." C.V., Texas
"I'm a former United States Marine and Law Enforcement officer and I'd been holding off on an 800-yd rifle due to costs involved. I put a rifle together thanks to Choate, Savage and Tasco for under $1000 and it's one hell of a shooter." Bill L
I have to credit this stock to Garth Choate, who handed me a blank piece of paper and challenged me to devise a design that incorporated everything I'd learned about, or wanted in, a sniping and target stock. Some outfits might have resisted my unconventional ideas, or tried to change the design, but the great people at Choate Machine and Tool took it exactly as I drew it, added their own excellent aluminum bedding system, and this was the outcome.
Not only, that they built it so well that it's virtually a "drop-in" stock -- all you need is a screwdriver and about five minutes to place your barreled action in it, with no special tuning or expensive modifications required. Many customers have reported an instant accuracy boost, due to the quality of aluminum bedding and dramatic free-float channel. Most have noticed a reduction in felt recoil because the bore axis is lower than many stocks, and this design's ergonomics so nicely fit the rifle to the rifleshooter.
The Philippine Marine Corps and some smaller police agencies have built inexpensive sub-minute sniper rifles by installing the Choate-Plaster Stock on the Savage 110 Tactical Rifle. I did that to my .223 cal. Savage 110, resulting in it becoming an honest 3/4 Minute rifle, firing 3/4-inch groups at 100 yards.
